I have the honor and joy to mentor several fab music colleagues in my 6 week program that helps artists create a solid, simple structure for offering lessons as a way to support their life as a musician. Often, the scariest part for us is considering raising our prices, especially with our existing students.

It’s pretty common for us artists to piece together multiple gigs to make ends meet. It’s also common for these gigs to pay poorly in order to earn enough money to live on, we end up working crazy hours. Long hours and gigs that require a lot of energy can leave us completely drained of our creative energy.

Have you ever been enthusiastically teaching one of your students something that you find incredibly helpful and exciting only to find that they were staring at you with a glazed look in their eyes?

Most of us learn how to play the guitar so we can play the songs we love most.  It feels awesome to listen to songs that make us “feel right” and even better to play them.

Any time I'm getting the word out that I have private lesson slots available, there are always people who are interested but say they can't afford my tuition rates.
